The company also went for the merchandising market, offering the Snuggie-style " WoW Cataclysm Classic X-Treme Gamer Blanket" and WoW cataclysm Gold body pillows designed to terrorize youngsters. The company is (not) selling an Deckard Cain GPS voice pack that asks "What better method to get you where you want to go than following the meticulously planned instructions of the most popular antediluvian archiver from the WoW Cataclysm Classic series?" Audio samples are also available.

The other developer of role-playing games Blizzard was also part of the action by announcing a brand new class for its upcoming enormously multiplayer title Star Wars: The Old Republic. In a savage interview with P2Pah The brand new character will be called the Sarlacc Enforcer, based on the legendary and immobile pit monster who was seen on screen in Return of the Jedi. But, rather than serve as a huge digestion facility for unfortunate criminals, Sarlacc Enforcers are expected to have a significant role to play in the shady underbelly of The Old Republic's world as they work alongside Hutt bounty hunters and gangsters to alter the game's political environment.

Firaxis Games also got in on the fun with a fake press release touting a new feature for its upcoming, sure-to-be-time-consuming strategy title. The press release reads "2K Games announces a new Extreme Diplomacy Game Mode for Sid Meier's Civilization V," the release details a brand new "uber version" of the game, which comes complete with the "optional eight-button Joystick" which can "allow two leaders from the world to engage in a battle to the death, using special moves and finishing techniques." It will feature George Washington's Uncle Slam Attack, Oda Nobunaga's Tsunami Train Attack and Otto Von Bismarck's Hurricane Helmet Spike Attack. If that wasn't enough of an Street Fighter homage, Firaxis also released a screen shot to clarify any doubts.

The final game of the day are Alan Wake Wars, a brand new strategy game that is real-time developed by Finnish game developer Remedy. The hilarious parody can be viewed on YouTube and lets players build army of ghostly foes from the forthcoming third-person horror film Alan Wake. The title card says "24 different types of units and 17 maps the 18 trees of technology, and one song that is the theme song...over and over."

Not to be left out, P2Pah posted a special April Fools Day special edition of Today on the Spot, which is presented in stunning 3D.
